Job Summary

As a Flight Registered Nurse (RN) with CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to our communities. Our team of experienced nurses and medical professionals work together to deliver exceptional care to patients in need, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, specimen collections, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Plan and implement resuscitation, stabilization, and transport of critically ill and injured patients.
  • Provide airway management, optimize perfusion, and relieve pain and/or stress within air or ground transport settings.
  • Promote a safe environment essential to the health and well-being of all individuals within the air medical transport environment, including aircraft and ambulance safety and universal precautions and protocols.
  • Adapt to rapidly changing technology as evidenced by competency in technology and equipment used in the patient care setting.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of recent critical care experience required.
  • Previous ICU experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current state RN license for applicable state of employment or current RN license from a participating state in National Compact Licensure required.
  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required.
  • Current ACLS required.
  • Current PALS upon hire or within six months of hire/transfer required.
  • NRP upon hire or within 12 months of hire/transfer required.
  • Certified Flight Registered Nurse upon hire or within 2 years of hire/transfer required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass the annual review of driving record for safe vehicle operations required.
  • Must maintain current on all certifications required by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems required.
  • Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) upon hire or within 12 months of hire/transfer required.
