About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Pass items to surgeons and nurses as needed during procedures.
  • Prepare and move patients, and sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms.
  • Scrub on all cases and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
  • Assist with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.
  • Hand instruments to surgeons and anticipate their needs.
  • Maintain and update preference cards.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Experience in a specialty field preferred.
  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required.
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required.
