We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our cross-functional engineering team at Leidos EW Division. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and managing engineering research, design, development, and manufacturing projects involving antenna and transceiver communications systems.
Key Responsibilities- Apply design and application knowledge of complex communications systems, including antennas, transceivers, networks, and other related technologies.
- Lead engineering research, design, development, and sustaining projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Manage project schedule, budget, and drive cross-functional technical teams to achieve technical objectives.
- Lead teams through complete lifecycle phases, including requirements, concept development, design reviews, validation and verification, and release to production using established formal IEEE systems engineering process.
- Manage relationships between customers, technical staff, and supply chain, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and propose cutting-edge technological opportunities for the advancement of communications systems, such as digital beamforming.
- US Citizenship required; active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
- Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) experience, including knowledge of pick-n-place, conformal coating, environmental test, acceptance test, module/box/systems build operations.
- Strong planning skills, including defining requirements, time estimating, communicating progress to stakeholders, documentation, and testing.
- Broad engineering background sufficient to analyze design data related to electrical, software, mechanical, and physical science disciplines.
- Proven experience managing major suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with internal and external contacts.
- Demonstrated skills in business development, including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, relationship development with competitors, team leadership, and online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations.
- BA/BS in Engineering or equivalent experience and 4-8 years of program management experience.
