Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Service Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Service Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating events, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and friendly customer service, helping customers shop and find what they need
  • Coordinate and facilitate events, including kids' birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, perform face painting, and other activities
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons, such as goody bags and balloons, to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as answering emails and making phone calls
  • Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards
Requirements
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Excellent people skills and ability to interact with guests of all ages
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Good communication skills, including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Retail and/or customer service experience required
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required. The Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
