Job Summary
"This role involves overseeing non-educational support functions in the district, ensuring effective business operations and financial management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, budgeting, and business management, with experience in managing teams and driving strategic planning.

Responsibilities
"Strategic Planning & Implementation: Formulate and implement policies and strategies to meet the district's vision and goals. Analyze current state processes and recommend improvements to achieve an efficiently operating environment. Identify opportunities for innovative budget practices to support a high-quality workforce dedicated to improving student achievement.
"Financial Leadership: Supervise the accounting system to provide accurate financial information to administrators and the board. Develop monthly and annual financial reports, and coordinate activities with auditors during the annual audit. Recommend policies and procedures to the School Business Administrator, and assist in developing the agenda for the Finance Committee.
"Team Management: Supervise and evaluate personnel within departments, including accounting, budget, fixed assets, food services, pupil transportation, and facilities management. Develop individual goals for direct reports and monitor progress towards targets. Support professional growth through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Requirements
"The ideal candidate will possess exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with excellent data analysis and interpretation abilities. They will have experience in computerized accounting systems, knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting procedures, and understanding of accepted business practices in school districts. A Master's degree in business, public administration, or accounting is required, along with a New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility or Permanent Certification in School Business Administration.

Compensation
"The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience, with a 12-month employment period and unaffiliated union status.
