The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs, and maintaining regular communication with parents. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education programs tailored to students' needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and specialists to support student success and provide a positive learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure students meet their IEP goals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning at home.
  • Stay current with best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Valid West Virginia Certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education, LD/BD/MI/DD, K-12 with Autism.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
