Sleep Disorder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Sleep Disorder Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health in Richland. As a key member of our sleep disorder center, you will be responsible for performing and scoring sleep study procedures, including home sleep testing, in accordance with physician's orders and departmental policy.
Job Description**About the Role:**
This position requires strong clinical and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, communicating with supervisors and managers regarding patient and equipment issues, and obtaining patient consent prior to performing sleep studies.
**Responsibilities:
- Performs and scores sleep study procedures, including home sleep testing, in accordance with physician's orders and departmental policy.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment within realm of knowledge.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers regarding patient and equipment issues.
- Obtains patient consent prior to performing sleep studies.
Key Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in Respiratory Therapy approved by the American Medical Association or successor accrediting authority.
- CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS certification by NBRC or RPSGT credential by BRPT.
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina.
