About the Role

This is a 13-week assignment with a guaranteed number of hours. You will be working as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to premature and critically ill newborns.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including pediatric medical subspecialists, pediatric surgical subspecialists, and pediatric anesthesiologists. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing individualized care to each patient based on their unique needs and circumstances
  2. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  3. Participating in complex surgical procedures for repairing congenital or acquired conditions
  4. Addressing various medical conditions, including prematurity, gastrointestinal disorders, genetic/metabolic disorders, pulmonary hypertension, renal disorders, and sepsis
  5. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience in NICU settings
  • Valid State License (pending license may be accepted if issued before start date)
  • BLS certification
  • NICU IV experience and recent trach and vent experience
Additional Information

This is a non-smoking environment, and we require a minimum gap of 1 year for returning nurses. The facility is a teaching and Level 1 Trauma Center, offering a challenging and rewarding work environment.
