About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations at Kimpton The Forum Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both our commercial and private kitchens, ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and kitchen procedures to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen employees, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and job satisfaction.
  • Coordinate inventory management, ordering, and equipment maintenance to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal health and safety codes, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in service education programs, menu meetings, and new staff training to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar or supportive role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • 2 or 4-year degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Certification (if applicable).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, and restaurant POS system.
