Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Level I to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our staff, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Building Rounds and Maintenance: Conduct regular building rounds to identify and address any issues or concerns, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and taking corrective measures as needed.
  2. Minor Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work, to maintain the integrity of our facilities.
  3. Custodial Tasks: Complete custodial tasks as assigned, including floor care, minor biohazard clean-up, and other duties to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
  4. Assembly and Event Support: Assemble furniture and fixtures, and provide support for events and activities as needed.
  5. Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks for HVAC and other building systems, including changing filters, belts, and lubrication.
  6. Vendor Communication: Communicate effectively with outside vendors and contractors to ensure the completion of specialized work.
  7. Program Support: Provide support for programs and initiatives, including partner agencies, tenants, and agency staff.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, squat, bend, and reach repetitively throughout a 7.5-hour shift is essential.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a maintenance or custodial-oriented position, with experience in minor building repairs, is required.
  • Commercial experience in working with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is preferred.
  • A current driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are essential.
  • A non-judgmental approach and cultural competency are required to work effectively with diverse populations.
