Job Summary

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, House Office Buildings, Client Services Division, Labor and Custodial Branch, Day Labor and Custodial section.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform driving and operating duties on a variety of motor vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate a snow blower to assist with snow removal and a 1500 psi power washer to clean walkways.
  • Load and unload heavy construction building materials and supplies to and from trucks.
  • Deliver supplies to Members' Offices.
  • Assist shop offices' trades personnel by performing duties such as cleaning work areas at the end of the day.
  • Transport tools and materials from shop areas or storage areas to job sites.
Requirements
  • Must possess a Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsements.
  • Must have a current/valid DOT physical card on file with your local MVA.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs. or more without assistance.
Working Conditions

This position is emergency essential. Depending on the type of emergency, the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
