Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex mechanical or electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, business development, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall management direction on complex projects, analyzing and developing new business opportunities.
- Assume primary project leadership responsibilities, partnering with key team members and project personnel.
- Evaluate project scope, analyzing alternatives to develop optimal construction techniques.
- Plan, organize, and staff key project positions, coordinating with project superintendents and fabrication departments.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
- Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts, monitoring and controlling construction through administrative direction.
- Research and analyze new materials, managing financial aspects of contracts to maintain profitability goals.
- Manage risks, assessing alternatives to overcome system coordination issues and investigating potentially serious situations.
- Actively pursue additional work through change orders, ensuring project document controls comply with contract requirements and company standards.
- Supervise and mentor the work of other project managers and assistant project managers, as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
- Outstanding negotiation and change order management skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
- Advanced abilities in problem-solving, scheduling, and cost control.
- Excellent MS Office skills and ability to learn new software systems.
- Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee and project performance.
- 4-year engineering or construction science degree (or commensurate levels of technical training and related experience).
- Extensive (10+ years) experience/knowledge of construction design, finance, and management.
- OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six months from date of hire).
