Financial Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our team. As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and conducting detailed variance analysis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be able to bring your accounting skills to the next level. You will have a strong understanding of GAAP, Financial Accounting, and Fund Accounting, and will be able to prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis to understand the nature of each line item on the balance sheet.
- Maintain and implement internal controls over financial reporting.
- Perform advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs for data analysis and reporting.
- Manage the accounting for private equity real estate funds and private credit.
- Prepare and review fund-level financial statements including the Statement of Net Assets and Statement of Operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a successful and timely completion of the audit process.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Financial Accounting, and Fund Accounting.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs.
- Experience in accounting for private equity real estate funds and private credit is a plus.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet and variance analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and implement internal controls over financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- CPA designation or working towards obtaining CPA designation is preferred.
The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
