Position Summary:

This role is remote with occasional travel (up to 15-20%).

As an Assistant Regional Controller, you will assist in the monthly, quarterly, and fiscal closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements for designated divisions or subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional with a proven track record of establishing strong working relationships across various team members and management levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute client billings.
  • Review the general ledger and balance sheet, resolving any reconciliation issues.
  • Monitor and maintain monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheet activities.
  • Assist in the review and reconciliation of credit card and cash transactions.
  • Support the preparation of various state and local sales tax returns.
  • Manage special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of two years of corporate accounting experience in the retail sector.
  • Experience in a POS, cash, and credit card environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP software is a plus.
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as walking and standing for extended periods in food service settings.
