Amentum is seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role is part of our Research Laboratory Support (RLS) contract with the U.S. EPA Center for Environmental Measurement & Modeling (CEMM) - Air Methods & Characterization Division (AMCD) located in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate degree and 3-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting. They will be responsible for maintaining laboratory standards, laboratory systems that support calibration, and reference materials.

Responsibilities
  • Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain laboratory standards, laboratory systems that support calibration, and reference materials.
  • Instrument Setup and Calibration: Interpret equipment operation manuals and laboratory operating procedures to successfully complete instrument setup and calibration.
  • Data Analysis: Reduce, analyze, and interpret calibration data using statistical tools in MS Excel.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain electronic records of measurement results and reports in accordance with CMS and EPA records management protocols.
