Accounting Assistant

Green Meadows Partners is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Assistant to join their finance team. This is an in-office position, Monday-Friday, 8a to 5p, with overtime available if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales orders in a timely manner, collaborating with Accounting, Sales, and Financing team members.
  • Receive inventory into the company's accounting system and perform related reconciliations as needed.
  • Manage estimate accounts and complete inventory adjustments in the Transaction Register to ensure accurate machine costs and timely reconciliations.
  • Record cost entries to the General Ledger for items including repairs, estimates, and payables.
  • Assist with daily inventory reconciliations in various databases and ensure that suspended items are posted correctly to the General Ledger.
  • Process large machine Accounts Payable promptly, working with the Account Payable Analyst.
  • Support the month-end closing process.
  • Assist with sales and use tax reporting for various states.
  • Submit UCC filings as required.
  • Provide supporting schedules for the Company's annual external financial audit, as requested.
  • Assist with company technology initiatives, including the upcoming Microsoft D365 implementation.
  • Identify and document process improvement opportunities to strengthen the Company's internal control environment and improve accounting practices and procedures.
  • Perform other recurring duties as assigned, including ad hoc projects and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounting, preferably with the listed job responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
