We are seeking an experienced Marine Test Electrician to join our team at Tradesmen International, Inc. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $32/hour based on experience, plus $120/day per diem for travel.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot electrical performance deficiencies in marine systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and component specifications
- Work with electrical component systems, including contractor relays, overload relays, transformers, terminal boards, and low-voltage protection systems
- Test and inspect low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the electrical field
- Proficiency in reading and measuring with tools, including tape measures and stick rulers
- Expertise in reading and interpreting shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, and work packages
- Extensive knowledge of electrical theory
- Solid understanding of low-voltage release and low-voltage protection systems
- Proficiency in reading and identifying equipment and component label plates
- Experience in lockout/tag out and hazardous energy control procedures
- Ability to climb vertical and inclined stairs and ladders, crawl, bend, stoop, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
