Electrical Vehicle Safety Specialist

Amazon is seeking an Electrical Vehicle Safety Specialist to join our Workplace Health and Safety team. As an Electrical Vehicle Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our electric vehicle infrastructure equipment complies with all applicable codes, regulations, and harmonized standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with Amazon Worldwide Design Engineering teams to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and standards.
- Lead process hazard analyses (PHAs) and assist in the development and review of equipment designs.
- Provide guidance on requirements for controls and devices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineering, design, and operations teams.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience in safety engineering programs in manufacturing or production environments.
- Knowledge of certification bodies for approvals that comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Knowledge of International and EU/NA Standards such as EU Machinery Directive, ISO, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA.
- Master's degree in mechanical, structural, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- CSME or other functional safety certification.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands, goals, timelines, and priorities.
- Ability to collaborate and lead in a fast-paced team environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
