Job Overview:

At Harlingen Medical Center, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse. This role is responsible for ensuring the provision of quality care that promotes the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident.

Responsibilities:

  • During rounds, observe, assess, document, and report on any changes in resident condition
  • Assure implementation of care plans as directed
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in clinical records
  • Perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts
  • Identify significant changes in the condition of residents and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures
  • Oversee and monitor aides
  • Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy
  • Discharge residents per facility policy
  • Communicate with resident's point of contact regarding status updates or changes in condition

Qualifications:

  • Educational/Training Requirements: Completion of a RN program at an accredited vocational school, college, or university
  • Licensing Requirements: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas in good standing
  • Experience Requirements: Preferably experience working in a skilled nursing facility

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Located in Harlingen, TX, this position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
