About the Position
The Field Engineer is part of the project management team that includes the project manager, project coordinator, and superintendent. This role is a step/building block towards becoming a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager. The person in this position must be willing to be teachable and take direction well with the willingness to take on a variety of tasks. IMCO is hiring for an exciting large treatment plant project, with future work in the region already planned.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project
- Establishing a collaborative work environment for the project team members
- Communicate effectively with Subcontractors, Suppliers, design partners, and owners
- Demonstrate effective internal working relationships with company management, administration staff, and craft management
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and internal staff
- Preparing written communications and reports
- Assisting with controlling the project's cost and schedule by ensuring that effective project controls are in place
- Assist with pre-construction job set-up and planning
- Receive, review, forward, and track the status of submittals and RFIs
- Maintain project records
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package includes an anticipated annual salary of $75,000-$80,000, determined by level of experience. Available benefits include medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, and paid holidays. Relocation will not be offered.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, or another technical field from an accredited university. A minimum of 1 industry-related internship and experience with Microsoft Office Programs and Construction programs are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate traditional Computer file/folder structure are necessary for success in this role. Experience in the construction field is recommended.
