About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hospice team as a Weekend Nursing Coordinator. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Weekend Nursing Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient care, processing referrals, and ensuring timely transmission of information to operational areas. They will also verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and assist with billing department tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between hospital and home settings
  • Process referrals and verify insurance benefits
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and assist with billing department tasks
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient discharge planning
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree
  • No experience required, but a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, or related field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
