Job Summary:

Rittal LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving business growth through cold calling, pipelining, and closing deals within the Food and Beverage Vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth within the Food and Beverage Vertical.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Inside Sales, Regional AM's, and the VMM to coordinate interrelated projects and ensure successful project execution.
  • Assess customer product needs and partner with Rittal's field sales team to provide full scope of product solutions.
  • Coordinate across regions for multi-jurisdictional accounts.
  • Submit monthly activity-results reports and territory analyses to management.
  • Monitor competitive publications and gather current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and accounts.
  • Attend networking events and tradeshows.
  • Assist in the development of annual business plans and coordinate their implementation.
  • Keep management informed of market trends and sales opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, business management, or business administration.
  • Equivalent sales experience (10+ years) with a focus on business development in the electrical/automation industry.
  • Aviation industry experience a plus.
  • Travel up to 50%.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient and detail-oriented with CRM.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
