Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of our Responsible Care 14001 strategy and support the certification of our sites.
  • Develop and enhance our EMS system, including policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide compliance support to our sites on various environmental issues.
  • Develop training modules for environmental awareness and site-specific environmental functions.
  • Evaluate negative trends in compliance and develop ideas to improve.
  • Support our sites in compliance reporting.
  • Provide environmental assistance to stakeholders and site personnel on capital projects.
  • Participate in industry and advocacy groups on behalf of Indovinya.
  • Evaluate new regulatory requirements and develop solutions to ensure compliance.
  • Assist site personnel with planning and implementation of compliance with new regulations.
  • Support our Sustainability group with environmental metrics and ideas to improve ESG.
  • Manage and participate in EHS audits of sites.
  • Work with other departments to complete customer questionnaires.
  • Support corporate sustainability data gathering efforts.
  • Support the R&D lab with environmental compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and site personnel.
  • Assist other employees in achieving Indorama company goals.
  • Participate in EHS initiatives and complete company required training programs.
  • Assess and develop solutions to environmental complexities.
  • Partner with procurement to evaluate and implement contractor/consultant solutions.
  • Manage costs and develop ideas to reduce EHS operating costs.
  • Review consultant deliverables and site environmental personnel work products.
  • Develop and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Participate in training to enhance skill sets.
  • Provide assistance and work on multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements:
  • Minimum BS in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of environmental compliance and permitting experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of air pollution experience with regards to compliance, regulation applicability, and permitting.
  • Minimum 5+ years of petrochemical or chemical industry environmental compliance and permitting experience.
  • Knowledgeable in federal/state/local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
  • Knowledge of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) compliance and reporting.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Sustainability and/or GHG experience desirable.
  • International environmental experience desirable.
  • Experience interacting with environmental regulatory agencies.
  • HON compliance knowledge desirable.
