At VCU Health - MCV Physicians, we are seeking an accomplished Surgical Oncologist to join our esteemed Division of Surgical Oncology. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional with clinical and research interests in soft tissue and endocrine diseases.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing patient-oriented, cost-effective, and safe surgical oncology services to the mid-Atlantic region. They will support the division's expanding efforts to provide excellent oncology surgical support to regional outreach programs, including Massey Cancer Center.
This faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in Surgical Oncology with an emphasis on general surgical oncology and participate in clinical or basic science research relevant to the expanding field of Surgical Oncology. Research areas of particular interest include cancer disparities, translational oncology, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and cancer genomics.
We require a Board Certified or Eligible General Surgeon with advanced training in surgical oncology, commitment to outcomes, and experience working in a diverse environment. A record of external funding or proposal submissions is a preferred qualification.
We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $250,000 to $300,000, depending on experience. Benefits include opportunities for professional growth, collaboration with leading experts, and a dynamic work environment.
In this role, you will develop interdisciplinary collaborations within VCU's Massey Cancer Center, Medical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology to achieve goals. Your contributions will significantly impact patient care and the advancement of surgical oncology.
