Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze funding options for families to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Assist families with the application process for funding, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Complete provider credentialing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage patient account balances, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Utilize billing software to post payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Follow up on non-payment/partial payment notices, communicating with families and payers as needed.
  • Resolve payment issues with funding sources, working closely with families and internal teams to find solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on payer guidelines and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in billing and credentialing processes.
  • Work on past due claims, prioritizing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries, providing clear and concise information and support.

Requirements:

  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in billing and credentialing processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with families, payers, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of third-party payers and regulatory requirements, with the ability to stay up-to-date on changes and updates.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and strong computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, payers, and internal teams.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with EMR systems, computer use, and billing knowledge preferred.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday.
