Job Title: Medical Support Assistant

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a Medical Support Assistant to support the Richmond VA Medical Center. As a Medical Support Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical center.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments and consults, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Provide general reception support, including scanning insurance cards and protecting secure information.
  • Assist with scanning records and documents into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Make and receive phone calls, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Review and reconcile claims and vouchers for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with arranging transportation for eligible patients and collaborating with clinical teams to request appropriate transportation modes.
Requirements:
  • Citizen or Resident of the United States of America.
  • Ability to speak clearly, hear, and write English.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Heavy phone and computer usage, often simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital procedures.
  • Ability to pass a required level of security clearance (NACI-level background check).
Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a fast-paced medical environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
