Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily physical and emotional care to patients, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulating.
Answer call lights in a timely fashion and assist licensed personnel as directed.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, utilizing appropriate infection control techniques.
Recognize when to seek help from licensed personnel and transport patients as needed.
Provide input to the interdisciplinary healthcare team and act as a preceptor to new Nurse Assistants.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalency.
BLS within 30 days of hire.
Nursing home or acute care experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
Occupational: significant occupational risk.
Physical Effort: very heavy effort, may exert up to 50 lbs. force.
Physical Environment: significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

Competitive salary range: $16.00 - $29.51 hourly.
