Job Title: Clinical Practice Specialist

University of Toledo Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of clinical compliance and quality in our clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our providers and clinics meet Board of Pharmacy Standards for Medication Handling and Storage.
  • Conduct quarterly clinical audits in all UTP clinics and provide education on areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that our clinics maintain proper and required signage in the waiting rooms.
  • Manage and update CLIA Certificates for UTP.
  • Work with our Operations Team to create and implement clinical policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring systems for Medical Grade Refrigerators and ensure compliance with governing agencies.
  • Provide education and annual clinical competencies for all clinical employees and document attendance.
  • Ensure that our staff and providers are prepared in case of an emergency.
  • Monitor compliance and regulate Infectious Waste Standards to meet OAC regulations.
  • Develop policies and procedures that promote office safety and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Years of Experience: 5 years
  • License/Certification: RN & BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Certification: ACLS or PALS, CLIA - Laboratory Certification, TDDD - State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy
  • Skills: Knowledge of Medical Laws and OSHA Laboratory Safety Guidance
