Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Jackson Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing complex ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and maintain pertinent clinical information from patient charts and computer systems.
  • Administer treatments and maintain safety precautions while scanning patients.
  • Develop films and record procedures in the hospital information system.
  • Transport patients to different areas of the x-ray department as needed.
  • Perform portable exams and assist radiologists in O.R. cases.
  • Provide preliminary impressions to physicians after completing exams.
  • Explain prep instructions to patients and ensure adherence to infection control policies.
  • Assist in training ultrasound students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology.
  • ARDMS registration and certification within six months of hire.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
