Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with suppliers and manufacturers to identify the most suitable partners for procurement needs.
  • Manage budgets effectively by obtaining competitive quotes from vendors that align with project financial constraints.
  • Handle extensive documentation related to purchasing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough research to compile a list of potential suppliers.
  • Create and dispatch purchase orders, confirming correct quantities and pricing with the selected vendors.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Purchasing, Department Heads, and other key personnel to streamline procurement operations.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in an administrative or purchasing role.
Skills and Competencies
  • Fundamental understanding of business principles and office procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Essential Duties
  • Review and process purchasing documents submitted by Operations staff.
  • Organize and reconcile documents from vendors to ensure alignment with purchase orders.
  • Investigate and rectify invoices lacking purchase order references.
  • Support the Director of Purchasing in daily procurement activities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit at a desk.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficient in typing and operating standard office equipment regularly.
Work Environment
