Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will work collaboratively with customer service outside sales and other worldwide members of Bühler Inc to grow existing customers, create new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while always striving to improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with inquiries, forward to the applicable person, and provide timely and consistent follow-up to check the status of proposals.
  • Perform research to obtain the correct items to be quoted, generate cost sheets and proposals per customer requests, and ensure accurate pricing and shipping information.
  • Work with outside sales engineers to generate proposals, coordinate with vendors, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to obtain updated pricing and shipping information.
  • Price out manufactured items, review new projects with engineering as needed, and run backlog reports to distribute to purchasing and shipping.
  • Review historical documentation and databases, review terms and conditions with finance, and initiate down payments and invoices due prior to shipment with accounting.

  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain appropriate behavior under pressure, and keep a positive work-life balance.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions independently, and effectively and creatively within established company guidelines.
  • Industry knowledge, appearance, self-confidence, self-assurance, professionalism, self-possession, persuasive power, preparedness to accept risk, timely decision-making, and taking of action.
