Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Officer to join our team at The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees, as well as protecting our assets and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
  • Assist guests with room access and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to prevent and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
  • Respond to accidents, contact emergency services as needed, and administer first aid/CPR if required.
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Complete incident reports to document all security-related incidents and maintain confidentiality of all reports and documents.
  • Investigate and gather evidence to support security-related incidents.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No related work experience required, but previous experience in a security or law enforcement role is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
