About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at NavitsPartners in NYC, NY 10016. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $45,000 per year and requires a 37.5-hour workweek with five days of work from Monday to Friday.

Job Summary

The Clinical Support Specialist will be responsible for performing diagnostic laboratory procedures, assisting with patient care, and handling various clerical duties. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing basic and routine diagnostic laboratory procedures
  • Conducting diagnostic procedures to isolate and identify microbial pathogens
  • Preparing specimens and operating automated analyzers
  • Maintaining knowledge of laboratory techniques and principles
  • Assisting with various testing procedures
  • Participating in special projects and quality control procedures
  • Supporting patient care by checking schedules and organizing patient flow
  • Prepping patients for exams and assisting physicians with procedures
  • Responding to phone calls and providing relevant information
  • Managing patient records and ordering medical supplies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Preferred certification as a Medical Assistant or two years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent phone manners, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer data entry
  • The ability to manage diversified responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Certifications & Licenses

A BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. Additionally, being certified as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Proficiency in phlebotomy and infection control knowledge are also highly valued.

Language Requirements

You should be proficient in English, able to speak, read, and write fluently.
