Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Department Director to lead our Nursing Services Department at Avante at Leesburg, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the department, ensuring the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff are knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
Requirements
  • Must speak and understand English.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare-related facility.
  • Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
  • Availability 24/7 unless delegated to Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).
