Job Summary and Qualifications
The RN Residency Program at St. David's HealthCare equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s healthcare environment.

This paid program facilitates your transition from academic learning to practical application through a structured series of educational experiences, including:
- Advanced clinical training in specialized areas.
- Monthly educational workshops.
- Preceptorship with an experienced facility preceptor.
- Skills assessment through hands-on simulations.
- Mentorship from seasoned nurse leaders.
- Collaborative work on evidence-based practice projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures and monitoring as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough documentation in patient records.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patients for therapeutic responses and intervening as necessary.
- Provide exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and anticipating their needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures, ensuring clear understanding of complex medical terminology.

Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within one year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the relevant state.
- No prior experience required.
- Some travel may be necessary for training.
