Job Summary and Qualifications
The RN Residency Program at St. David's HealthCare equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in a modern hospital setting.

This compensated program will facilitate your transition from academic learning to practical application through a structured series of educational experiences, including:
- Advanced clinical training in specialized areas.
- Monthly educational workshops.
- Preceptorship with an experienced facility preceptor.
- Skill assessment through hands-on simulations.
- Mentorship from seasoned nurse leaders.
- Collaborative work on evidence-based practice projects.

Specialty Tracks Available:
- Bone Marrow Transplant
- Surgical Oncology
- Transplant and Cellular Therapy

These specialties are offered at various facilities.

Role Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures and monitor functions as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough documentation of care in patient records.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic responses, intervening as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures, ensuring clarity in communication.

Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within one year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the state.
- No prior experience required.
- Some travel may be necessary for training.
