Position Overview: The role of a Mental Health Monitor/Sitter (MHM/S) is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients requiring close observation. Weekend availability is preferred for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of patients who are on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or at risk of self-harm or harm to others.
  • Utilize visual or video surveillance to observe patients and communicate findings to the licensed nursing staff.
  • Accurately complete and submit all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Document any changes in patient behavior or activity in the patient chart as required.
  • Adhere to the instructions provided by the medical personnel overseeing the unit.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Prior experience in monitoring patients, particularly in a healthcare setting, is essential.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.

Work Schedule: Flexibility to work all shifts, including every other weekend and some holidays.
