Position Overview

The Mobile Care Outreach Technician plays a vital role in supporting the operations of Mobile Care Centers. This position encompasses a range of operational, administrative, and clinical responsibilities aimed at enhancing patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitates patient registration by accurately collecting and entering demographic and medical information, while assisting with scheduling as necessary.
  • Provides support to patients and families regarding financial assistance and available resources, ensuring the collection of billing and insurance information with precise coding.
  • Operates the Mobile Care Center to various events and locations as required, while assisting in the upkeep of the vehicle, equipment, and inventory.
  • Conducts general health screenings, vital signs assessments, and other clinical tasks as trained.
  • Ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Engages in performance and quality improvement initiatives, including data collection.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Licensure:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance as mandated by company policy.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle background check and maintain compliance with insurance guidelines.
  • Must obtain a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL), class B, with air brake endorsement within the first 90 days of employment.

Certifications:

  • Current medical certificate, updated biennially.
  • Valid BLS Healthcare Provider or Heart Saver certification.

Skills:

  • Proficient in computer operations and data entry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Culturally sensitive and respectful towards diverse populations.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in patient care is required.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of performing tasks such as seeing, hearing, standing, walking, speaking, reading, and manual dexterity with or without accommodation.
