Xcel Energy is seeking a skilled Customer Insight Analyst to coordinate primary marketing research initiatives and syndicated studies. The ideal candidate will provide customer and market analysis to support marketing, product development, and other internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and define research project scope and objectives.
- Identify and propose marketing research initiatives to inform business questions through exposure to customer, market, and competitive trends.
- Develop short-range market research plans to achieve stakeholder project goals.
- Work with external consultants to design methodology, sampling, survey instruments, analysis plans, and reporting.
- Partner with external vendors to ensure effective project outcomes and provide actionable research results.
- Implement special projects to ensure the Marketing Research Organization remains efficient and utilizes best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in marketing research, including both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Approximately 10% travel preferred.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in the utilities/energy industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in marketing research.
- Experience in brand and product advertising evaluations, DSM program evaluations, customer loyalty, Voice of the Customer/Customer Experience, or custom/adhoc marketing research topics.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Approximately 10% travel required.
- Preferred MBA and 3+ years of experience in the utilities/energy industry.
