We are seeking highly skilled Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineers to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a GNC engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and testing spacecraft subsystems for a variety of customers, including DoD, NASA, and commercial organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze spacecraft attitude and position control loops using time and frequency domain techniques
  • Design and develop flight algorithms for the GNC subsystem and support flight software qualification testing
  • Analyze and test the spacecraft GNC subsystem performance using simulations and other analytic tools
  • Perform analysis to support early design phase concept development, including actuator sizing and placement, sensor selection and placement, attitude and position guidance, rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking analyses
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math with at least 14 years of professional experience (12 years with Masters, or 9 years with Ph.D)
  • Active Top Secret clearance (SCI preferred)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
  • Experience in spacecraft GNC subsystem design, analysis, and testing
  • Experience implementing GNC algorithms on embedded systems
