Senior Power Electronics Engineer

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing leading-edge power electronics for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in power electronics design, analysis, and test. You will be responsible for owning the design phase of circuits or boards, including trade studies, component selection, and detailed design. You will also be responsible for performing or guiding complex PCB layout for analog and power electronics.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop power electronics circuits and modules for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems
- Perform detailed and complete schematic design for low-to medium complexity power electronics designs
- Perform modeling and analysis of analog and power electronics designs
- Develop design verification test plans and requirements compliance matrices
- Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering team and lead system integration and qualification campaigns
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 4 years of industry or university research experience in board-level power electronics design, analysis, and test
- Experience owning the design phase of circuits or boards, including trade studies, component selection, and detailed design
- Experience performing or guiding complex PCB layout for analog and power electronics
- Experience with analysis and simulation tools such as SPICE, LTSPICE, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, PLECS, Simulink, MATLAB, or MathCAD
- Experience delivering subcircuit or board designs to production and deployment
- Proficiency in printed circuit board design tools such as Altium, OrCAD/Allegro, PADS/Xpedition, or similar
- Experience running board-level power integrity simulation tools such as Ansys SiWave, ADS SIPro, or HyperLynx
