We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Cone Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing medical exams using X-rays or other diagnostic imaging examinations on patients to create images of specific parts of the body.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follows instructions from physicians regarding which area of the patient?s body needs imaging.
• Talks the patient through the procedure and answers questions to lower their anxiety and increase their understanding of the procedure.
• Positions the patient correctly and adjusts the imaging equipment to the specified position to create quality images of specific parts of the body.
• Prevents unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient.
• Follows correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding to ensure adherence to ensure accurate and reliable diagnostic imaging services.
• Completes required documentation for each procedure to ensure proper patient records and facilitate seamless communication among healthcare providers.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
• ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - DxBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare
