Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Community Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the community's physical assets, conducting general maintenance repairs, preparing apartments for new residents, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.

  • Supervise and schedule maintenance operations for the community and its staff.
  • Respond to service requests from residents and management for occupied units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and major appliances.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
  • Identify and rectify hazardous conditions within the community.
  • Manage and execute preventative maintenance on equipment and apartments.
  • Order supplies and oversee the maintenance budget.
  • Attendance is a critical component of this role.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in various community areas as needed, including office support.
  • Address emergency situations such as severe weather or other crises.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in work areas and maintenance facilities.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the multifamily housing sector is essential.
  • Certification as an Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) is preferred.
  • HVAC and CPO licenses are mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience in light carpentry, drywall repair, and painting is necessary.
  • Proficiency in appliance repair and compressor diagnostics is expected.
  • Computer skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
  • Must hold any required certifications or permits mandated by local or state regulations.
Working Conditions

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor position is full-time and may require overtime, on-call duties, and weekend work.
