We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in Stamford, CT. As a Float Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our healthcare system.
**Responsibilities:**
- Administer health questionnaires to patients and update patient information in Epic (EMR system)
- Act as a chaperone by accompanying clinicians in the exam room for intimate exams
- Manage in-basket messages and take patient history & vital signs
- Prepare patients for exams & treatments and prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment & supplies
- Assist with scheduling of tests & treatments and adhere to infection control and safety guidelines
**Requirements:**
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Professional Medical Assistant Certification obtained through one of the following agencies
- Experience in a clinical setting and familiarity working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) helpful
- Bilingual: Spanish-English or English/Creole helpful; demonstrate ability to effectively interpret medical terminology
- CPR certification required upon hire and recertification bi-annually
