We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pacu Nurse to join our orthopedic team at Spire Orthopedic Partners. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing, with experience working in a PACU setting. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the PACU, including assessing patients' needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration and treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current RN licensure in State of Connecticut.
- At least 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing, preferably in a PACU setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to lift up to 300 pounds, frequently bend, reach, push, pull, twist, and stand/walk for more than half of the day.
- A competitive salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
