Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pacu Nurse to join our orthopedic team at Spire Orthopedic Partners. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing, with experience working in a PACU setting. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the PACU, including assessing patients' needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration and treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current RN licensure in State of Connecticut.
  • At least 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing, preferably in a PACU setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 300 pounds, frequently bend, reach, push, pull, twist, and stand/walk for more than half of the day.
