Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute receiving and merchandising standards to ensure efficient processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary to ensure tasks and activities are completed according to store plan.
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Partner with Management to identify and address training needs to increase effectiveness and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Team player with ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
