Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and upholding our company values.
  • Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor and ensuring efficient flow of goods.
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure seamless execution of tasks and activities.
  • Monitor productivity of the team, providing coaching and feedback as needed to drive results and improve performance.
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, ensuring a visually appealing and engaging shopping experience.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates, providing progress updates and addressing priorities as needed.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs, identifying areas for growth and development.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs, driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, maintaining a high level of security and integrity.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment, ensuring the well-being of all Associates and customers.
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Capable of responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to train others and provide guidance and support.
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

This position has a starting pay range of $ to $ per hour. The full range of the position is $ to $ per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
