Breast Imaging Specialist

The McLeskey Comprehensive Breast Center, a part of Sentara Health Plans, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Breast Imaging Specialist.
Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $10,000 available for eligible candidates.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday - Friday: Rotating hours between 6am - 5pm;
Saturday Hours: 8am-12pm. Only required to work 6 Saturdays annually.
Position Overview:
As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will conduct and evaluate all diagnostic and interventional breast imaging procedures. You will ensure compliance with all quality control and assurance standards as mandated by state, federal, and local regulations. Your role will also involve delivering exceptional patient care while adhering to radiation safety protocols at all times.
The McLeskey Comprehensive Breast Center is recognized as an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
Our center has achieved NAPBC accreditation in the primary areas of breast imaging and cancer detection, including:mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and ultrasound-guided biopsy.
Educational Requirements:
Graduate from a Trade School in Radiologic Technology.
Licenses and Certifications:
Mandatory:
ARRT certification in Mammography, ARRT certification in Radiography, and Basic Life Support certification. Candidates who are ARRT Registered or Registry eligible must obtain their registry within 90 days of employment.
