Fabrication Maintenance Role
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Maintenance professional to join our team at Leggett & Platt Incorporated. As a Fabrication Maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the maintenance department and maintenance mechanics in creating, maintaining, and repairing electrical and electronic components and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, modify, design, lay out, or fabricate components and equipment with or without blueprints.
- Cut, fit, and weld metal using gas and electric welding equipment, and perform skilled brazing and soldering.
- Interpret prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups and apply fabrication or welding techniques to complete projects.
- Assist mechanics in production repairs, installation, and removal of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform special projects and duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and perform advanced math.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Ability to change from one task to another frequently.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
- Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
- Maintenance of equipment and basic repairs as needed.
- Availability to work on required Saturdays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fabrication maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and/or basic fabrication.
