The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards related to product quality and operational policies, including but not limited to EH&S, OSHA, and ISO regulations. Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies – Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, lift up to 30 lbs., stand for prolonged periods, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and travel occasionally.

  • Required: Comprehensive understanding of local labor and business regulations with the capability to implement and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
  • Required: Minimum of 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment at a managerial level.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as accounting or finance.
  • Desirable: Background in budgeting and forecasting, with proficiency in software applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred: Experience in piece rate manufacturing and familiarity with SAP systems.

Leadership, Accountability, and Compliance

  1. Oversees all departmental managers, including office, warehouse, maintenance, and shipping supervisors.
  2. Establishes accountability for teams and individuals, fostering engagement for optimal performance and evaluations.
  3. Promotes a positive workplace culture and supports employee morale.
  4. Encourages creativity and innovation in product development and problem-solving across all teams.
  5. Ensures factory and product compliance with OSHA, NFPA, CE, and ISO standards, including conducting audits and implementing corrective measures.

Financial Management

  1. Reviews and evaluates the plant's monthly financial reports.
  2. Manages the plant's budget and assumes full P&L responsibility.
  3. Oversees inventory management for materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Cost Management, Workflow, Quality, and Culture

  1. Continuously maintains an effective production incentive program.
  2. Calculates accurate factory standard costs and assists in the introduction of new materials and products.
  3. Manages production efficiencies and expenses as reflected in the plant's financial statements.
  4. Responsible for various reports, including forecasting, scheduling, workflow, and labor management.
  5. Instills a commitment to quality that is evident in both the manufacturing process and the final products.
